The BS-45 rescue hook is an insulated fibreglass pole used to pull a casualty or object clear of an electrical danger area without direct contact. The single-section 32mm tube has humidity-proof seals at each end, an insulating cap, hand guard and grip, and is rated for a working voltage of 45kV. It is typically mounted in plain view at distribution cabinets, electrical equipment and substations.
